The Rheinhafen Krefeld reports on LinkedIn about our app

April 2024

... In addition to the inspections and tests on the freight wagons, our wagon masters are also responsible for the proper preparation of documents such as wagon lists, brake slips and damage reports. For this purpose, our wagon masters have recently started using an app-based solution as part of our digitalization: the WDRflyer APP from RailAppSolutions.

Harry Krakow, wagon master at the Krefeld Rhine port, has a clear opinion on the WDRflyer app: "I am very happy that we have now introduced the WDRflyer app. Recording and processing damage during a WTU couldn't be easier or faster. Further processing in the office is completely eliminated, the associated time savings and the prompt notification to the owner are impressive. Thanks to cloud-based archiving, you have access to documents or photos created at any time" ...

New TrainChecker app goes live

March 2023

The TrainChecker is our new app, which can be used to create electronic wagon lists as well as damage reports. The beta test phase was successfully completed at the end of February.

Since mid-March, TrainChecker has been available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

What are we particularly proud of? We have a direct connection to the GCU Broker to query wagon master data. This saves the wagon manager a lot of unnecessary input. Important operational data is automatically calculated by the app, such as route class, brake weight or holding force. A summary of wagon data is also created automatically.

“The app is fantastic” was one of the nicest feedback from customers directly after the app was released.

Over 10,000 damage reports!

April 2022

We exceeded this important milestone in April. With our WDRflyer app, over 10,000 damage reports have now been sent to wagon owners across Europe, digitally via the GCUBroker interface if requested. On behalf of almost 60 railways, damage reports have been sent to over 120 different wagon owners via our app. And this almost in real time. We would like to thank all of our customers for the trust they have placed in us and look forward to inspiring many more companies with our service.

TR Trans Rail AG uses WDRflyer in sugar beet campaign

October 2020

We are pleased to be able to support TR Trans Rail AG with our app in the sugar beet campaign. Should any damage be discovered on the freight wagon, this will be immediately reported to the wagon owner and the TR Trans Rail control center and appropriate measures can be taken immediately. TR Trans Rail AG says of the app: "We are very satisfied with the WDRflyer and our wagon managers would not want to be without the app anymore. We will also be using the app outside of campaign traffic in the future."

Basel Day of Wagon Damage Handling

September 2020

At the first Basel Day of Wagon Damage Handling on September 17, 50 experts from Germany, Austria and Switzerland got to the bottom of the operational processes surrounding GCU damages on freight wagons. The focus was on the operational processes across company boundaries. The panel and audience were made up of people from different sectors.

It has been pointed out several times that the immediate forwarding of the damage reports to the wagon keepers is essential in order to be able to optimise downstream processes or to enable them at all. The WDRflyer can make an important contribution here. On average, it takes less than 30 seconds from the railway sending the report to the keeper receiving it.

 The first 100 are done!

September 2020

Since July 2020, the wagon masters of Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo have been using the WDRflyer app to create and automatically send damage reports.

On September 4th at 5:52 am the 100th protocol was successfully sent. Congratulations.

Incidentally, the WLC's wagon inspectors make intensive use of the app's photo function. This allows the wagon number to be read using OCR, and photos of the damage can be taken from different perspectives and sent to the wagon owner together with the report.

Then there will be no misunderstandings or demands for proof with the owner regarding the type and extent of the damage.

 Captrain becomes first customer

June 2020

A full-page article in the Privatbahn Magazin (4/2020) deals with the app and its introduction at Captrain Germany. Dortmunder Eisenbahn and ITL Eisenbahngesellschaft have been involved from the start. Captrain Cargo West and Hansebahn Bremen are examining a possible introduction.

The wagon managers are enthusiastic about the ease of use and the input assistance. Management particularly appreciates the high level of process transparency and audit security.

The app is continuously being developed with the help of feedback from Captrain's wagon masters.
